Flag carrier Air China said yesterday it expected to return to profitability in 2009, helped by a recovery in domestic passenger demand and lower fuel costs.
Air China, which posted a net loss of 9.15 billion yuan (US$1.3 billion) in 2008, said its air passenger services "showed a steady rebound in 2009," according to a statement with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
